A Look Inside My Room

Hello Lovelies,

Just over a year ago, I posted that I was re-doing my room and then I never posted pictures of my completed room! Which is really sad because I actually am very proud of the way it turned out. When she saw it for the first time, my sister said, "Wow, I didn't know rooms looked like that outside of Tumblr." Then my friend said, "I feel like I'm looking at a Pinterest board." So without further adieu, come take a little look inside my room.

Love this bird pillow. #IKEA

Music, candles and books. What else is there in life?

A wide shot of my room from my door.

Looking towards my door.

Another wide shot of my room from the end of the windows
this time. Oh! And if you remember from last year's post
(who am I kidding? Last year was a world away), I couldn't
decided whether I was going to do a collage or a clothesline
type thingy with my photos. Well, I decided.
I love this wall with all the posters and records. If you look
in the bottom right hand corner, that's a record bowl.
I semi-melted an old record and turned it into a bowl.

Anywho, there you go. Hopefully you got a little big more of an insight into my very complicated mind.

Oh! And this is my 100th post. Go me for using words to write stuff.

Summer Blogging, had me a blast.

Hello Lovelies!

So summer is here and I'm very excited. I'm FREEEE!

Anyways, I've been looking at my blog and thinking, what can I do maybe a little differently over the summer?

I've had some ideas and I'd love your guys input, y'know, since you're the ones who'll be reading it.

First, I was thinking of introducing a "DIYFridays" thing over the summer. Kinda like a "Man vs Pin" type thing but, y'know, I'm not a man and I'm a blogger, not a YouTuber. You guys could suggest pins or DIYs and my wonderful sister Rebecca and I will try them out, document them and put them up for you guys to see.

Second, I do a bunch of writing, and I've had a few people I know ask if I could write them a specific drabble or something. They'd give me a scenario and I'll write it for them. Over the summer, what would you guys think of submitting requests and I'd try to write them for you?

Third, I've never done a 30 day challenge before and I've always wanted to try one. There are tons and tons of them out there, all with different themes and different questions. Would you guys be interested in reading something like that? This one looks pretty cool:
Or I could always come up with my own...

Lastly, I was also wondering, what do you guys actually enjoy reading on my blog? Photography posts? Life posts? Rants? Tags? Reviews? Writing? Something completely different? Cause every once in a while, I'll be sitting in front of my computer with nothing in my brain, wanting to write a blog post, but having no idea what to write.

Derpcon and the Proper Reveal of Me

Hello Lovelies,

So, I didn't win Derpcon. :( To be completely honest, I wasn't expecting to, so I wasn't that disappointed. But, I think some of my other costumes were actually pretty creative so I figured I'd at least share some of them with you! :)
Today I'm Platinum. With the ability to win anyone
a Platinum record, I'm exploring strange new
keeks, seeking out new fans and hopefully
going where no 5SOS fan has gone before.

Sick of boring tea party after boring tea party? Fear not, the
Rad Hatter is on her way! Bringing fun to good
girls everywhere, she'll turn any event into a party!

I'm Co-Z. So chill, I make Canada look hot.

And here's pictures of me NOT as a superhero so you know that I don't usually look like this.

Staring into the DEPTHS OF YOUR SOUL.

Happy hat.

Shameless selfies?

Well, so that was a lot of pictures of me. I apologize to your eyeballs.

Song of the Day - Just the Way I'm Not by All Time Low

When I was about thirteen, my friend introduced me to All Time Low and I thought, "Oh my goodness! These guys are amazing!" And in true Sarah fashion, I then proceeded to completely forget about them. And then last week or so, I found them again and have been listening to about eight of their songs on repeat. This one is currently my favourite out of the eight. Enjoy!

Derpcon Day 1 Entry

Hello Lovelies!!

This is just going to be a short, itsy bitsy, leetle post today. The contest for Derpcon in Canada was posted and I'm really, really excited and really, really nervous. Between now and the 27th, we have to upload an original superhero costume to Instagram. We can post one original picture a day.
And I thought I would show you my costume for today cause I'm actually pretty proud of it. :)

Realizing that this is the first time you guys actually get to see my face, I should probably just clarify that my hair is not usually this colour.

So this is me as Kaleidoscope! Go me!

Tomorrow is going to be a metallic alien called 'Platinum'....

Word Collage Canvas DIY

 Hello Lovelies!

I've recently taken the first step into DIY room decorating and thought I would share with you one of the projects I did in case anyone else out there is as stumped for ideas as I am and wants some easy projects.

I present to you - The Word Collage Canvas!

You'll need:
- A canvas (any size will do)
- Old magazines that you're willing to cut up and/or words printed off from the computer in different fonts
- Mod Podge (easily make this with 1/2 glue and 1/4 cup water shake before using)
- A paintbrush
- Scissors (I actually just had to google how to spell this)
- A color of paint you like

Instructional Part

Take an old or new canvas and paint a perimeter of 1-2 inches in whatever colour paint you want. You can paint it thoroughly or paint it so some of the original colour shows through. I'v done the latter because I wanted kind of a messy look to this.

Get out your stack of magazines (I have quite a few).

I found this really old one and felt kind of bad about cutting it up, but then I flipped through it and it turns out that someone had already taken scissors to it.

Cut out a whole bunch of words; you're going to want between 20 and 40 words. In my opinion, it looks really cool if you have different colours, fonts and sizes. You'll want to leave a wide border around the actual words because all of your words have to fit together on the canvas and this way you'll have more to work with. I've used words here, but I'm assuming that it would work just as well with pictures.

This part's a bit like Tetris. All of your words have to fit together so you can't see the canvas. I recommend starting at the top and working your way down, adding words as you go. Also, it's your choice whether you want to have your words line up on the sides or not. I've chosen to have them kind of staggered because, as previously stated, I wanted a messier look. Oh! And it works better if you paint your canvas with the glue mixture, then stick the words on, instead putting it on each individual word.

After you've added all of your words, apply a coat of your glue mixture on top of all your words. *Important* Make sure that the words are firmly stuck to the canvas! Wait for the glue to dry before applying a top coat or the paper will bunch and wrinkle.

The finished project!

So there you go! Hope you got some ideas or want to try it yourself. If you do try this, comment with a picture or something so I can see it pretty please? :) If I end up doing more mini-ish projects over the summer, would you guys be interested in seeing more of these types of posts?

Epic Rap Battles of History - Skrillex vs Mozart

Soooo, I really like these videos. :) I think they're really creative and funny and often have fairly decent rappers. This one is probably my favourite out of the series, although they have some other great ones like Miley Cyrus vs Joan of Arc, Doctor Who vs Doc Brown and Michael Jackson vs Elvis. Enjoy!
