Versatile Blogger Award

Hello Lovelies!

Here's my award picture. :)

The wonderful Andrea over at Lumos! has nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award! Thanks Andrea!

I happen to like your tweaked rules, so I'll use them too.

1. Create your own Versatile Blogger Award picture and add it to your post. Your imagination's the limit!
2. Thank the blogger who nominated you
3. Complete the challenge set for you by the blogger who nominated you and set your own.
4. Nominate bloggers who you think fits the adjective "versatile"
5.  Let the bloggers know you've nominated them

Alright. My challenge from Andrea was to share seven random facts about myself without editing them. As I type this, I'm slightly concerned about what's going to pop into my head, but here goes!

1. I spent over an hour organizing over 300 pennies by date on Sunday night, just because I wanted to. I know that sounds really quite absurd, but it's true. The oldest one I had was from 1947! However, my favourite design was the one the pennies had in the 70's.

2. I am attending two concerts this summer: Ed Sheeran in June and 5SOS in August. I am so uberly duberly excited that I'm giggling whilst writing this.

3. I've just started watching Covert Affairs on Netflix and I think Auggie is the best character, hands down, no debate. My sister and my mum think Jai is better: better looking, better mannered, better spy. I firmly and entirely disagree.

4. My favourite activities in the world are writing, singing and photography. I'm always amazed at how much happier, lighter and calmer I am after doing so.

5. I want to travel so, so, so badly. Everywhere. Anywhere. In a boat. Car. Plane.

6. I discovered the following quote yesterday and I'm quite in love with it. I think I might turn it into a poster...

7. Jonathan just spilled a huge crate of olives in the fridge downstairs and it reeks so badly and now I have to go clean it up. So although you can't see me, I'm taking a break to clean up the wonderfully disgusting smelling olives.

Alright! I have returned and changed my pants since the ones I was wearing are covered in olive juice. The challenge I'm setting for my nominees is to list seven things that inspire you. Place, people, songs, words, pictures, anything that gets your creativity flowing.

And the people I nominate are:
Ali from Aliology
Etain from Etain's Little World
Rhiannon from A Little Red Notebook
Kat from (Almost) Completely Mad
(and I know two of you have already been nominated for this award, so just think of it as an extra nominated and an extra challenge to do)

Thanks again Andrea for the nomination!

The Sunshine Award

Hello Lovelies!

I was just nominated by Rhiannon from A Little Red Notebook for the Sunshine Award! Thanks Rhiannon. :) I went on google to find a "Sunshine Award" picture since there was none on her blog.

The Rules:

1. States 5 facts about yourself

2. Answer the 5 questions asked by the person who nominated you
3. Create 5 new questions and nominate more bloggers for the award.

The Facts:

1. I don't mind big groups of people but I prefer to spend time with just a few people at a time. I would choose five or six friends getting together over a party any day.

2. My favourite song is 'September' by Daughtry.
3. My first crush was on Disney's cartoon Robin Hood.
4. I have a memory box where I keep things from important or special times in my life; ticket stubs, photographs, programs from plays, old friendship bracelets that have snapped, etc.
5. Songs get stuck in my head so easily, it's not even funny.

Rhiannon's Questions:

1. What's the last book you read, and your thoughts on it?
The last book I read was 'Mockingjay' by Suzanne Collins. I'd read it before and recently picked it up at a used book store so I decided to give it a rereading. I quite like this book. I enjoy the political fight and the survival aspects to it. I know that Dystopian books with teen girls who have to save the world are fairly common and mainstream right now, but I actually really like them. I find Katniss a relatable character and I like that she's not... wimpy. However, I get very frustrated at the end of the book every time I read it because she ends up with the wrong guy!

2. What's your favourite quote/saying?

Ooh, tough question, eep! I'm pretty sure that out of all my favourite quotes, this one's my favourite favourite.
"She will love deeply - she will suffer terribly - she will have glorious moments to compensate-" - Emily of New Moon
I feel like this sums me up in so many ways. I've had amazing moments that I still remember years later. I've gone through some awful periods of my life but I've had people who I've really, really loved who have helped me through.

3.  When are you at your happiest?
I had to think a bunch about this one and I think I've finally decided it's when I'm with close friend(s) and we're all happy. Recently, my friend and I visited my best friend at her summer camp where she works. I was fairly nervous that I was going to be the odd one with her group of friends but I actually had so much fun. I have one specific memory of seven of us sitting around a camp fire with guitars singing Disney songs and laughing as we all got the lyrics wrong. Moments like these, I don't think I could be happier.

4.  What is your party trick/unusual talent?
I don't really have a party trick or unusual talent, unless being able to find a song to fit any occasion counts. Oh! Actually, I know how to spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious if that counts.

5.  Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

Ideally I'd like to be married and maybe have a child. I'd like to be doing something I love career wise, most likely musically related. I would like to have lived in Tennessee for a period of time. Other than that, I really don't have a five year or ten year plan. I did, but then I had a concussion for six months and that kind of put things into perspective for me. I still have goals, but they aren't time stamped. You never know what's going to happen and I feel like it's best to hold things loosely.

My Nominees
Ali from Aliology
Andrea from Sempiternal Reader

My Questions
1. What ice cream flavour best describes you and why?
2. Spongebob or Scooby Doo?
3. (stealing Rhiannon's here) When are you at your happiest?
4. Gale, Peeta or Finnick? Why?
5. Biggest pet peeve?

On a sorta similar note, thank you guys for 20 followers! :D Whether you guys have been here since the beginning or you've just recently found and joined my little corner of the internet, thank you. You guys are amazing and beautiful and put a smile on my face.

The Liebster Award

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We interrupt your regularly scheduled Alphabet Soup to bring you this special post!

I have been nominated for the Liebster Award! Yay! Thank you to Freya from A Teenager's Guide to the Galaxy for nominating me! :)

The Rules (cause everything has to have some sort of rules to work properly)

1. Link the blogger that nominated you
2. Answer the 11 questions they have written for you
3. Give 11 random facts about yourself
4. Nominate other bloggers with under 200 followers who you think deserve the award
5. Post 11 questions for your nominees

Freya's Questions

1. If you could be any character from a book, who would you be, and why?
No joke, I spent an hour trying to find an answer to this question. I think I have finally concluded that I would be Anne Shirley. There are a few reasons I'd like to be her. She's creative, imaginative, loyal, kind and competitive. She has people who love her and really care about her: Marilla and Matthew, Diana, Ms. Stacy, and Gilbert. Her love story is pretty neat. She lived her life fully and ended up being very happy, even though she had many reasons to be sad. She got to live out some of her dreams. She might not have been part of an epic adventure, but she had an amazing, wonderful life.

2. What is your favourite meal?

BBB. Bacon, Bagel Breakfast. My family has started this tradition where once a month, we buy like two pounds of bacon, bunch of bagels and lots of different types of fruit and have a big breakfast.
Or a chicken burger from McDonald's with fries. I know that sounds incredibly gross but I actually love them.
3. What would you do if you won the lottery?
Part of it I would donate to a charity. Part of it I would use to travel. Part of it I would set aside for savings and my future, whatever that entails.
4. Where is your favourite place?
My Grandparent's farm. They're currently selling it though. :( Which means I'll have to find a new favourite place soon.

5. If you could travel to any country, where would you go?

Australia or England.
6. What is your favourite thing about summer?
Gahh! Such a hard question! Probably the socialness of it all. I see my friends much more in the summer and do so many more things than throughout the year and I love it.
7. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging for a few reasons. The one of the main reasons however was that I wanted to have a place where no one knew me where I could be myself. No one would tell me that I was acting immature when I fan-girled. No one could tell me I wasn't being myself (an academic, driven, practical, always smiling good girl in soooo many people's eyes). I could be whoever I wanted to be and people would accept me as who I actually was. Haha, that sounded quite emosh! Another main reason was that I had heard a lot about the "blogosphere" and I wanted to be part of it! I wanted to "meet" people who had similar interests and thought it would be really cool to join a community, which it is. :)
8. What was your favourite film as a kid?
Winnie the Pooh!! I loved Tigger. I have a giant stuffed Tigger on my bed.

9. Do you prefer the city or the countryside?
Yet another hard question. I love the city because it's super diverse and I love the times when I get to spend the day there. But then I love the countryside because it's really peaceful. I love being able to hear nothing but the birds and the wind in the trees. I think I'm going to have to go with countryside. I love the city, but I'd never want to live there permanently; I'd always come back to the country.

10. How would your perfect weekend go?

I don't know if everyone counts Friday evening as a weekend, but I'm counting it here. :) Friday night, I'd do something with maybe eightish friends? Movie, Laser Quest, just hang out, something like that. Saturday, I'd sleep in late. I'd spend the afternoon reading, songwriting/playing guitar/singing and hanging out with family. Saturday evening, we'd have family friends over and play boardgames (preferably Settlers of Catan) and eat as much junk food as humanly possible. Sleep in Sunday morning, have a friend over in the afternoon, then spend the evening Netflix binging or Tumblring, basically being a bum.

11. What is your favourite personality trait?

In others it's probably loyalty. In myself, creativity.
